In 2017, Dr. Tekemia Dorsey became the first and only African American and Female USA Triathlon “Award Winning” Certified Race Director and Triathlon Coach in the multisport industry; her non-profit organization and racing company became the first and only African American Women-Owned “Award Winning” organizations in the multisport industry; and her Junior Multisport Club Program became the first and only “Award Winning” African American Junior Multisport Club Program in the multisport industry as well.
